Out & about in the sunshine....
So the new Zed has taken over from the 'not quite finished' Bike Project and the 'pretty much finished' Campervan Project.
It is starting to get ship-shape now and is pretty much all sorted, with just a few tweaks here-and-there left to do as I go along.
So far I've upgraded the ICE with a double-din bluetooth/satnav/dvd unit and added a couple of amps & sub in the boot to compliment this. The fascia needs tidying-up a bit at some stage, but does the job for now. Sounding pretty good anyways...
Replaced the headlights with 6k HID units, and LED sidelights.
Managed to identify & fix a power-loss issue at 4k revs that transpired to be a faulty Mas Air Flow sensor/meter, as well as fix the air-filter mounting. Seems to be doing a lot better on fuel since I fixed this....
Removed the 80's style foglight that was hanging under the back bumper; drilled some 10mm holes through the reversing lights and hot-glued in some Bright Red LED for the new fogs.
Swapped the rear schockers as it had got an 'advise' on its MOT just prior to me buying it. Said they were leaking oil (more like there was none left in them - car was bouncing all over the place)
Spotted that the backboxes were split at the inlet pipes while I was swapping the shockers, so ordered & fitted a new pair of Stainless Steel ones which I fitted yesterday.
Painted the brake callipers Red while the wheels were off doing the shockers #multi-taskinglad.
Washed & polished it today and took it for a jolly nice bimble about through the Cheshire countryside after dropping our Josh off at work in Warington.......
Smashing it was too...........
